Padma River The longest river in Bangladesh
Padma River is the one of the Biggest River in Bangladesh. It's called Ganga in India. Padma river enter our Country by the side of Our Rajshahi District and Pussing to side of our Ishwardi. It meets the Jamuna near Aricha but finally meets with the Meghna near Chandpur and adopts the name "Meghna" before flowing into the Bay of Bengal. Rajshahi, a major city in western Bangladesh, is situated on the north bank of the Padma. After the construction of the Farakka Barrage on the Ganges River in West Bengal, the maximum flows in the Padma River were reduced significantly. The Padma Bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma River under construction in Bangladesh.
